Over at the blog Resurrection Song, one zombyboy writes that I mischaracterized his position on a Vital Issue of the day.
Turns out he’s not “wild about” the Hollywood writers’ strike. His position is “closer to indifferent.” He goes on to weigh his sympathy for the producers vs. sympathy for the writers and finds that, as with many contract disputes, it’s a tough call.
My point wasn’t to weigh in on the side of the money or the talent. Rather, it was to say that while, like zombyboy, I will “not much miss the grand majority of the tripe that the TV spews,” I will most definitely miss some of it. He seems to agree with me, now expressing “hope that the strike is settled quickly and equitably.”
zombyboy also has some kind words for In Defense of Hypocrisy. He calls it “a book with a cover that I wish I had designed (sorry, graphics geek moment).”
Hey, no prob. How do you think I felt when I first laid eyes on it? Here’s a good look at the cover. Used copies are now available through Amazon for scandalously low prices.
